First Look: Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels Back in Character on ?Dumb and Dumber 2′ Set

by Mike Sampson September 24, 2013 10:28 AM

After many false starts and potential cancelations, filming on ?Dumb and Dumber 2? has begun and star Jim Carrey has revealed the first shot from the set featuring him and co-star Jeff Daniels back as Harry and Lloyd.

Just over 24 hours after Jeff Daniels upset ?Breaking Bad? star Bryan Cranston to win the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series at the 2013 Emmy Awards, he and Carrey are back as the dumb duo on the set of ?Dumb and Dumber 2′ in Los Angeles. And they look as stupid as ever.

The two are holding a copy of Carrey?s new children?s book ?How Roland Rolls? (not-so-coincidentally in book stores today) but, as expected, are doing it all wrong.

[UPDATE - Jeff Daniels has added his own shot, also seen below.]

In addition to Carrey and Daniels, ?Dumb and Dumber 2′ stars ?Walking Dead? star Laurie Holden, Kathleen Turner, Rachel Melvin and, yes, former hockey star Cam Neely will return as Sea Bass.

Check out the first look at ?Dumb and Dumber 2′ below and stay tuned for even more from the film?s set.

After watching Jeff Daniels in The Newsroom the past couple of years I think I'd have trouble not taking him seriously again.

I was thinking the same thing, I really enjoy the subtle humour of The Newsroom, the in your face Jim Carey style humour is a bit jarring for my tastes.

If I knew what you looked like I'd be doing this in your face at the next home game!  :P :P

Went and watched White House Down last night.. Plenty of action and plot holes but fun none the less. Think "Die Hard" crossed with Arnie's "Commando".

More american patriotic bullshit. One liners, holier than thou presidents, and the foregn evil. I think I will stick with Dumb and Dumber. Ironically it is a closer representation of the truth.

Saw Inside Man today (a little behind the times I know). Loved it, though the cocky assistant character made me want to shoot myself in the foot.

Are we there yet?

As far as this topic goes - if you want to watch a very weird Japanese movie, watch Battle Royal on Foxtel's World Movies channel.

I only added The movie package so I could watch the Newsroom. have now cancelled it.

Not long to go now.

By Japanese standards, Battle Royale is pretty mild. Get some other works of Miike Takeshi into ya, THEN we can have a 'weird Japanese cinema' conversation.

Watched Jacobs Ladder last night. Wow, what a movie. Can't believe I haven't seen it before.
