I think G of the G is a film for our time.

It has the action, the music, the thoughtful pauses, and the 'orphaned' heroes. Great production values, irreverance, Stan Lee, open ended.

It entertains without extreme violence, overuse of profanity, or sexual exploitation. There are in jokes for everyone and you need no knowledge of this particular Marvel Universe t be thoroughly entertained (I was a complete novice).

It may have helped that I was with a bunch of mates and we'd lubricated beforehand.

How's the humour, and is the wisecracking raccoon as vomitous as such characters usually are?

Rocket uses humour to hide a very tortured soul. We haven't heard the last of his story in the movies. Take a ten year old along if you can't get any friends keen.

Yes. It is rated G
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2015381/parentalguide?ref_=tt_stry_pg#certification

Most of the sex, violence and profanity is at a level a 7 year old might experience at school.

So they play doctors and nurses on the movie, yes?
The female kangaroo has a pouch. The male kangaroo doesn't. So the male kangaroo has pouch envy. "Why don't i get a pouch? I've got things to carry too. At least give me a pocket".

The struggle to free myself from restraints becomes my very shackles.

Yep the new Star Wars movie gets my thumbs up. :D

I won't post spoilers but I'm happy to report it's definitely more like the old 3 movies than the last 3. By that I mean it's not corny and crappy! ;)

A friend of mine sent me a ripped copy. Not sure i like it. Rick Moranis plays this villain with a large helmet who talks about ludicrous speed, Bill Pullman does a great job as the hero (he hasn't looked this good in years), and they somehow got the CGI on point to recreate John Candy wearing a dog costume. Also, the vocal actor for Yoda's terrible. He keeps calling the Force "the Schwartz".

I hear they've released the name of the next installment - "The Search for More Money".
I see it, but I do not believe it!

Watched the new Pirates Of The Caribbean last night. I was pleasantly surprised. Story was pretty good and of course the action was sweet as per usual.
