No word on Roar signings other than the two Korean trialists last month

That Babalj deal imo is a little under value for him. He's what, 19?, so for a player of his quality at his age surely warrants more than $500k

And the irony of the Dilevski releasing as I signed him for next season on Football Manager :P

Heart were stuck in a hard place though.. If they had declined, Babalj could've stayed for a season and then taken off for free.

True but you'd think they would have offered him a new deal throughout the season

A number of Adelaide fans (gauging of 442 forums here) had high hopes for Ricardo Da Silva, and certainly wished he got a better look into the main squad. Could be an interesting pick up for someone if they are willing to give him a chance. Perhaps even we could look at him, he counts as an aussie and I imagine would be happy with pretty much base contract, he is 27 so maybe not that worthwhile.
I can't even remember seeing him play last season.. Don't think he'd be worth thinking about.
Im guessing the ones that had seen him play had probably seen him carve up the state league. But you are right, he basically didn't feature under Coolen or Cossie, so he mustn't be that great. Might have been more of a PR exercise in signing a local product.... Anyways lets move on, WS have got to start announcing some signings soon.

Also hear Richard Garcia is hunting around for a club having being released from Hull after 5 years. Not sure that I want him but if the price is right might be worth a look.

Just wanted to post something really  :P

haha you're right, I wouldn't want him either. Let him go 'home' to Perth, he'll fit in nicely there.

This is just me thinking shit, but I was thought it would be funny if it turned out all this talk about Babalj moving to Red Star was all a rouse. He was really transferring to the Victory, haha

Is his main position an AM or a Striker? If he prefers Striker, he would be a decent signing so we have the option of having a front two.

From what I know he's a right sided midfielder/attacking midfielder. He's played as striker but I think that was because of injury to other players

Spase Confirmed At Melbourne Victory

MELBOURNE Victory have confirmed signing former Adelaide United midfielder Spase Dilevski on a one-year deal.

The versatile Dilevski enjoyed a spell at Brisbane Roar after stints with PSV Eindhoven and Tottenham, before heading back overseas to play for Romanian side Universitatea Craiova.

That's a typical Ange signing.  Player that's been overseas, point to prove to old club, could be moulded to fit style.  The only thing that surprises me is the 1 year part of the deal.  Could it be that he's said told Dilevski to prove himself this season to earn an extention?  I'd say it's likely.

Sounds like a good signing for them, i suspect he'll do quite well.

Anybody else heard any new news regarding the Vicotory and Bedi Buval?

Really? I suspect he might also be a complete and utter failure. It will be one way or the other. Spase could be temperamental and lazy at times, could be his last chance if he fails again IMO.

Besty, that's the reason I think he's been signed.  Last chance saloon with a point to prove.  If you look at most of Ange's signings with us it was a similar situation.  Likeyou said though, could be a complete failure but I suspect Ange is going to get the most out of him.

Wow, have you seen videos of Spase playing that the rest of us haven't? If Ange gets anything out of him I'll be gobsmacked.  I see him more of the type of player Ange got rid of when he first came to us.

How he was ever part of the Spurs youth team is beyond me. I don't even remember him doing anything of worth when he was with us.

Agreed. He's lazy and just generally shite. If he has a good season with the Victory, I'll sew one of my balls to my cheek.
