I hope you get great joy out of reading and participating in this forum.
One word of advise, just ignore Jj and Listener from the start, they are both just hateful trolls, everyone else on here is pretty good. And although I don't agree with everything they say I particularly enjoy reading Mattt, roary and davesaves posts, along w ith many others.

Just to note that according to Simon Hill, Brisbane Roar had 4459 members last season and they are hoping an increase of 30% for this coming season.

Went to Ipswich game today and asked guy at roar trophy stand how memberships numbers are going and he said they are at approx. 2500 members so far, 1000 of them are new members.  He said that they are starting a big roar promotion around town and expect numbers of members to increase to about 6000.   We apparently had around 4500 last season.

6,000 is a reasonable target, being back to back champs and having the $50 kids memberships for any section will deffinately help with our numbers... Hopefully the advertiseing begins soon with the season under 8 weeks out.

Yes those billboards are good....but..... are we guilty of using "football speak" to the average punter out there ?
They mention "$50 kids memberships " ... great.... but does the average punter realize that "membership" means "season ticket " as well ??

It is common now for those of us who have "memberships" but in advertising any product you should never assume the public knows what you know. I used to think membership meant exactly that... membership of the club...same as for my local club membership.... it wasn't until I got season tickets that I realized that it meant a season seating ticket...and I had been around a long time in football and sport in general.

Id believe that these numbers would include 3 match, pet, overseas and any other form offered and not just full season ticket holders. The term membership has been diluted to meaningless levels.

After the first few seasons in the den, then later with the NE, I now am more of a sit down supporter. We have our seats in 328

The missus isn't a fan of the standing and I really don't miss the beer showers. I also find myself remembering the games now I no longer involve myself in shenanigans
