did Eccles really leave or is he just keeping a low profile.  plyed in the Olympic game but for Olympic - not that that means anything.  anyone know if he has left and who could be in the wings.

Haven't seen him in or around the club the last year and a half and wasn't named on the bench the whole season of the NYL

Yeah Sas you're correct.. There will definitely be a dedicated "NYL" keeper and from time to time Acton will see action in the NYL when the schedule permits (as Redmayne did over the last 2 seasons).

John Sime came and had a chat to parents at Rovers on Friday night, mostly to dismiss the nasty horrid rumour by FQ that you MUST play APL to have a chance of playing for the Roar.  The NYL squad he says consists of 16 dedicated Youth players and which includes 2 Keepers.  Acton therefore won't be our NYL keeper next season.

There is the puzzling example of Adelaide now and when they got to the Final.

If you focus more on the champions league then in your local league you can over perform in your the champions league.  Example chelsea

I heard on the grape vine that Kearton got Alves role.  He's a great keeper coach.

Surely they wouldn't  expect Acton to ride the pine pony when the games don't clash with NYL - although it is an unfortunate aspect of being a keeper.

Is Tubbsy still there.

From what I understand, Redmayne had some game time in the NYL last season to keep him prepared.

He did, as will Acton. It's not a free over-age slot, the club have to weigh up whether there are 3 other players who may need match fitness first. The NYL squad has 2 goalkeepers due to some games clashing with HAL fixtures, at which point they'll need those 2.

I'm sure if he was asked by other clubs.  This wasn't a scouting mission, this was a night for the Roar to dispel the false statements by FQ regarding the Roar's recruitment policies.
