Gossip from Taringa Rovers Forum:

Just heard ROAR GK coach Fernando Alves has quit after 7 seasons.

There's a rumour doing the rounds that he'll be taking on a GK role in the NT set up.. The second part of the rumour is that Jason Kearton is likely to be named his successor at Brisbane.

Hope not. I loved Fernando.  Best goal celebrations in the league

+1 here. Loved that celebration against Adelaide. There's one way to find out though, tonight against the Pen Power

**Edit**: Been confirmed by the CM

So I just came back to this thread after completely forgetting about it... no harm no foul... reading what I wrote I was probably a bit out of line too I'm blaming off-season-itis!

Just read Paartalu might be off to the UAE.... He's frustrated with the clubs attempt to negotiate a new contract and would consider a move. However he does state he loves the club, the fans and would like to go for the three-peat. This may be the last year we have with big erik... He's always been a favourite of mine.

This might explain his slight dip in form as of late. He has a lot on his mind. The club would be fools to let him slip away. Here's hoping that this story is just Erik and his agent putting a little fire under the clubs butt. No doubt the fans will rage online once the article from the Herald Sun circulates. Will certainly give them bargaining power.

I wonder what exactly Erik and his agent are asking for which is making contract negotiations so difficult?
Good post mate.  But don't you think it's time to change that sig quote?  :P

Probably a year?s supply of fake tan considering how tan that mofo has been for the last few pre-season games.
