I see Brisbane Roar Football Club has confirmed it has released Manuel Arana, Cameron Crestani, Joey Katebian and Nathan Konstandopoulos.

Robbie Kruse and James Holland have reportedly walked away from their Chinese club citing failure of the club to meet contractual obligations.

por que no los dos?

Kruse will likely be wanting marquee wages BUT if he wants to sure up his spot at the World cup next year he has to be playing well and regularly, that may mean that he is willing to come under the cap at an a-league club. I think Victory, Sydney or Brisbane are the only clubs that he would consider (clubs that have an opening in the wing position and are playing ACL next season). there is no way sydney can fit him under the cap with all there recent signings so Vic or Bris, and Vic would have to play either him or rojas on the left.

He will have to have done a whole heap of maturing to come back here and do well (last time he couldn't stay out of the nightclubs) his move to Vic did him a world of good. If he comes here he would have to avoid his old haunts and habits.

I think Kruse is past his best now.

He's played stuff all games in the last few years and at 28 he should be hitting prime form and development.

He certainly isn't marquee quality, but I think, given a full pre-season, he could certainly do a job in the A-League. If we could get him under the cap, I think it would be worth the risk.

Edit: Mark Milligan has shown, however, that you can go after the big money in the UAE and be selected for the roos, so there isn't really any incentive for him to come back here.

If Kruse really wants games he should stop chasing money abroad and sign for a HAL team. Only hear will he be give patience by coaches. I doubt he'd return to brisbane... I remember him giving the den an uppercut when he scored for victory.

Mariners have signed Dutch midfielder Tom Hiariej on a two year deal: http://www.ccmariners.com.au/article/mariners-land-dutch-midfielder-tom-hiariej/e1gj8auzeopv19vh6oo9o74k1

28 years old with 10 years experience and over 200 appearances in the Eredivisie. Seems like a decent pick up on paper.

That does sound like a very solid signing.

Sydney confirm Blackwood released. I believe he is in the U23 national squad which to me reveals Sydney's total lack of commitment to youth development.
He was the only player they had in the squad.
